FAQ

What’s the difference between a Haus Checkup and a regular home inspection?

The Haus Checkup is a routine checkup for your home - like a physical at the doctor. It’s lighter than a full home inspection and meant for homeowners who want to catch issues early.
A home inspection, on the other hand, is a more detailed evaluation usually done during real estate transactions.

How often should I get a Haus Checkup?

We recommend every 5 years. It helps you stay ahead of hidden problems, safety issues, and wildfire risks — especially in California’s climate.

What’s included in the Haus Checkup?

We look at roofing, structure, exterior systems, drainage, wildfire vulnerabilities, and more. After the inspection, we sit down with you to walk through everything and give you a summary report with recommendations.

Do you inspect for wildfire risks?

Yes — all of our services include a basic wildfire vulnerability check. We inspect vents, eaves, rooflines, and more for ember entry points and overall fire readiness.

Do you offer inspections for buyers or sellers?

Yes - we provide full home inspections for real estate transactions, including:

  • Buyer’s inspections

  • Seller (pre-listing) inspections

  • Escrow re-inspections

  • Punch list / final walkthroughs

  • Condominium inspections

How long does an inspection take?
  • Haus Checkup: 60–90 minutes on average

  • Full home inspection: 2–3 hours, depending on the size of the property

How much does it cost?
  • Haus Checkup starts at $450 for homes up to 2,000 sq. ft.

  • Full inspection pricing varies based on size. contact us or book online for a quote.

Will I get a written report?

Yes. All services include a clear, easy-to-understand report. The Haus Checkup comes with a summary of findings and contractor recommendations. Full inspections include detailed reporting with photos.

Are you certified and insured?

Absolutely. Haus Check 805 is certified and fully insured and follows industry-standard inspection practices, with added focus on fire-prone areas of Southern California.
